Music is part of the lifeblood of Jamaica. Over the years, we have managed to create several genres that have thrilled local audiences and even had global impact, including Ska, Reggae and Dancehall. There is something for everyone in the Jamaican musical landscape, and no gathering is complete without at least a radio playing some ‘hits’ nearby.
It’s Emancipendence time and we’re celebrating all things Jamaica, so diG into our playlists (complete with links to purchase, where available), warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing out loud and proud. And if you feel like dancing, too, go right ahead!
