We’re going back in time to 1962 this Wordless Wednesday.
This seven-acre lot at the corner of Burke and March Pen roads in the ‘old capital,’ Spanish Town, was being prepared as the site of the town’s independence celebrations. The lot was equipped with booths, water and sanitary facilities for the accommodation of crowds which will gather there to celebrate the country’s independence.
Can you guess which facility is now located at this site? Hint: it involves shopping.
