The third review of the economic program between Jamaica and the International Monetary Fund is in progress. The IMF team arrived in the island sometime last week and was scheduled to have started their assessment on February 5th 2014 and complete it by the 14th of February 2014.
The team will be focusing on whether or not the quantitative targets and structural benchmarks for the December quarter were met.
In speaking to the House of Representatives recently, Minister of Finance and Planning Dr Peter Phillips has said “Our assessment indicates that all quantitative targets and structural benchmarks for the December quarter have been met.”
