We’re now officially in countdown mode as we draw nearer to The Gleaner‘s 180th birthday, which is on Saturday, September 13.
For the past few months, the newspaper has run a series called “The Gleaner Grew Me,” sharing the stories of a number of Jamaicans who have grown up with the publication over the years, spanning generations. (See the links below)
Now, we want to hear from our fans and followers online, most of whom would not have had the chance to be featured in “The Gleaner Grew Me.” What has The Gleaner meant to you over the years? Was there a story published that impacted your life? Did you find a job (current or otherwise) in the Classifieds or Careers sections? Did the Youthlink magazine’s CSEC pages help you or your children prepare for the exams? All anecdotes are welcome! We will even feature some of your stories in a blog post later in September.
So, what do you have to say? Hit us up on Facebook, Twitter or Google+, leave a comment below, send an email to dig@digjamaica.com – there are many ways to connect with us.
