April 2016’s instalment of diGJamaica’s monthly Economy Update is here.

Interesting takeaways include:

  • Jamaica experiencing a period of deflation (decreasing of price levels), as the YTD inflation rate is-1.3% up to March 2016
  • The continued depreciation of the Jamaican dollar against the USD. Since the beginning of the year the Jamaican dollar has experienced a 2% depreciation in value against the USD.
