To mark the beginning of Police Week 2013, the 146th Annual Commemorative and Memorial Church Service, was held yesterday October 24, 2013 at East Queen Street Baptist Church, downtown Kingston. The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is celebrating 156 years of service.
The week of activities and events that will be taking place across the island is being conducted under the theme ‘Enlightened by Our Past, Enriching the Present, Envisioning the Future.’
In case you missed it, Gleaner-Online today carried the story of a clergyman who has come out in support of Police Commissioner Owen Ellington amidst the recent calls for his resignation.

Included in the clergyman’s message to the JCF members who were in attendance at the Annual Commemorative and Memorial Church Service was ”Let the people come to trust you. Let them tell you their stories.”
