For the month of August 2013 “the green bar” indicates that Alumina Production rose by ~13% to 157,033 MT above July’s 138,674 MT. The output of Alumina for August 2013 represents the second highest batch recorded for the calendar year 2013. The highest recorded Alumina output for the calendar year 2013 was 14,240 MT more than August 2013 which was May 2013’s 171,273 MT.

In year over year comparisons, Alumina Production for August 2013 represents an increase of 16% or 22,050 MT over the corresponding period in 2012 and a meagre dip of 1.4% or 2,269 MT from the similar period in 2011.

Crude Bauxite Production for the month of August 2013 fell by 1.4% or 9,548 MT to 358,305 MT from 367,853 MT, which is indicated by the red point on the line chart. August 2013’s Crude Bauxite Production is 102,880 MT below the highest recorded output of crude bauxite for the 2013 calendar year which was March’s 461,185 MT.

In year over year comparisons, Crude Bauxite Production for August 2013 represents ~18% fall below August 2012’s 436,628 MT and 20% below August’s 449,326 MT.
