It’s Travel Tuesday and this week, we’re looking for rest and relaxation. What better way to get away from it all than to head to an eco-friendly retreat? We’ve found it at Kanopi House in Drapers, near the Blue Lagoon in Portland.
Nestled high in the quiet hills of Portland, Kanopi House is a place of ultimate relaxation. The off road track to the retreat leads to a trail of overgrown trees which is a true reflection of what guests can expect – nature at its best. Beyond the trees lies the first wooden structure, resonating calm and solitude, which is the true essence of Kanopi House.
The retreat offers five wood-frame, one and two bedroom bungalows, called tree houses – Upper Deck, Spanish Elm, Almond Tree and Sweet Wood – built in the island classic style.
A very intimate setting, visitors are given top-notch service which can also include a customised package. This allows guests to take advantage of an all-inclusive package or just opt for accommodation only. The Blue Lagoon, Portland’s main attraction, is literally just steps away. Guests can also enjoy water excursions, whether by boat or kayaks to the nearby Monkey Island or San San Beach for some sun, sand and sea.
