- New Financial Secretary Starts Today. Devon Rowe, the new Financial Secretary in the Ministry of Finance takes office today. He replaces Dr. Wesley Hughes. - New JLP Chairman. The Gleaner Power 106 News understands that Robert Montague has been elected chairman of the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP). Montague, who has been acting in the post since Mike Henry withdrew from the position a year ago, was elected on Sunday at the party’s Belmont Road, St Andrew headquarters by delegates over Members of Parliament Derrick Smith, Delroy Chuck and Edmund Bartlett. - TEF Announces $30M Plan For MoBay Civic Centre. The Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) is to pump $30 million into the repositioning of the historic Montego Bay Civic Centre. TEF’s executive director, Clyde Harrison says the resources behind a major project to revitalise the city centre, Sam Sharpe Square and the Montego Bay Civic Centre.
