TGIF! What’s on for the weekend? We have some great events for you to check out.

  1. Go “Behind Enemy Lines” at the Jamaica Military Museum’s World War I exhibition at Up Park Camp. The multimedia exhibition, which opened yesterday and runs until February 1, explores Jamaica’s reaction to Britain’s declaration of war on August 4, 1914. Time: 10AM – 5PM.   2. Enjoy some good live music at Blues on the Beach, Chances Beach, Negril. Featuring Terry Gillespie, Owen Brown, Chuck Jackson, Cheryl Lescom and more. Date and time: January 23-25, 8PM-1AM. Admission: Pre-sold – US$10 (1 night); US$25 (3 nights); at the gate – US$15 (1 night); US$35 (3 nights).
  3. There’s more great live music on tap with Free Willies at Red Bones Blues Cafe, 1 Argyle Road, Kingston 10. Time: 9:30PM. Admission: $500.
  4. Get colourful (and sweaty) for a cause at the Colour Me Happy Run, Hope Gardens, Old Hope Road. Proceeds benefit the construction of basic schools across the island. It’s too late to register to run now, but come out to support the teams and enjoy the after party! The run starts at 4PM. After party starts at 5:30PM. Admission: $2,000 pre-sold.
  5. Watch Jamaica’s up-and-coming actors shine at the first Jamaica Monologue Slam at Red Bones Blues Cafe tomorrow night at 8PM. Admission: $500.
