30 Days of Inspiration : Have Faith

March is celebrated as Spiritual Wellness Month. It is a time to reflect on the values, ethics and morals that add value and give meaning to your life. Here at diGJamaica, we’re going on a quest for 30 days of inspiration: extracting the common principles from different religions and systems of belief that help their followers to find inner peace, purpose and direction. Each day for the month of March, we will be sharing another principle with you. Join us as we embark on this journey to spiritual wellness.

What we’ve covered so far:

Have Faith

Faith is absolute trust. It is confidence and belief in a thing or person (or concept) without any doubt. What makes faith seem crazy is the fact that this assurance and certainty is usually based on something that is not yet seen or experienced or manifested. In spirituality, faith is blind trust. How can you trust in someone you have never seen? How can you confidently believe for something that you have never had or experienced before?

From ancient days to now, spiritual gurus have encouraged followers of different religions to have faith. Why? Because having faith helps you to see the end from the start. It helps you to visualise a successful outcome an motivates you to work toward that. Faith is fuel. It is a way of channelling your energy in the direction of your dreams or goals, and it is even seen by some as an effective technique for inspiration, challenging the ‘believer’ to keep hope alive no matter what.

So, on this journey to spiritual wellness, choose to have faith for good outcomes in your life. Have faith for a better life, more opportunities, stronger friendships, better health … whatever it may be. Turn your mind in the direction of hope, and watch your actions – and your life – line up accordingly.
