    The Motion Chart shows a further breakdown of the external debt into category: Private Creditor, Multilateral or Bilateral.  

    Private Creditors include commercial banks and bondholders.  

    Multilaterals comprise the International Development Bank (IDB), the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD – an arm of the World Bank), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other smaller lenders.  

    Bilaterals are broken down into OECD or Non-OECD lenders. The OECD is the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and includes 34 countries.  Some OECD countries are the USA, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and Japan.
