AMG Packaging and Paper Company was acquired and located in the Free Zone. There were twelve employees at that time. There was a General Manager, two supervisors, machine operators and laborers. At the time corrugated cardboard boxes were the only thing that could be produced. The company started with a customer base of approximately 20 clients and subsequently acquired their own building in 2007, when it had increased to 200 clients.
In 2007 AMG purchased a 20,000 square foot building at 10 Retirement Crescent. New machines were bought to broaden the companies manufacturing potentials. The manufacturing process is ninety percent mechanized with relatively new machinery and equipment. There are currently 12 machines being used. Die Cut machines have been added to enable the company to manufacture other products, eg. Water trays. There is a staff compliment of sixty three employees working on a two shift system.
