Marcus Said: Five Statements That Inspired The World

Marcus Mosiah Garvey is Jamaica’s first  National Hero and one of Jamaica’s most internationally beloved sons. Conferred with the Order of the National Hero in 1969 at what was only the second schedule of the National Honours and Awards Act in the island, he rewrote history for blacks, encouraging empowerment and self-acceptance in a time when the colour of their skins was used to oppress Negroes and discriminate against them.
