2. Burke-Hanna rift

The bitter war between General Secretary of the People’s National (PNP) Party Paul Burke and the former Region One chairman in the PNP hierarchy, Lisa Hanna, has picked up steam, with comments made on the public airwaves yesterday by the latter. Yesterday, Hanna, among other claims, publicly admitted that the relationship between her and PNP President Portia Simpson Miller has become strained. See full story on The Gleaner’s website.

3. Former JDF chief of staff dies

Major General Rudolph Green, who served as Chief of Staff of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) from 1973-1979 is dead. Details surrounding the death of Major General Green have not yet been released but military sources say he was ailing for some time.  He was 90-year-old having recently marked the milestone. See full story on The Gleaner’s website.

4. Fly Jamaica back on schedule soon

Fly Jamaica Airlines (FJA) expects to be back on schedule today after Tuesday’s incident which left its stationary Boeing 767-300 aircraft damaged at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) in Guyana. See full story on The Gleaner’s website.
