Stay Up To Date With The diGJamaica.com Dashboard

diGJamaica.com has made it really easy to follow changes in the economy. It is the only online frequently updated resource for a range of indicators in Jamaica.

See the tabs at the top right hand side of the home page – economy, business, lifestyle, trade, industries? Each of those is a drop down dashboard.  All indicators are updated when Government data is released.

 The drop down dashboards show:

  • indicator
  • period
  • date
  • current value
  • % change in one period
  • % change 12 months ago
  • % change 24 months ago

Red means that that specific indicator has gotten worse. Green means that specific indicator has gotten better. For each category,  the blue words means that if you click on the indicator, it takes you to a chart with more information.

  • ‘Month’ means it is updated monthly.
  • ‘Dec 2012′ means that was the last update provided by the Government.
  • ’1,125.58′ is the current value of the NIR in US$ millions.
  •  As compared to November 2012, the NIR has increased by 4.4%.  The box is green indicating an improvement.
  • However, compared to 12 months ago, there has been a 42.77% decline in the NIR. The box is red indicating a decline.
  • Compared to 24 months ago, there has been a 48.16% decline in the NIR.  The box is red indicating a decline.

Notice that the words ‘Net International Reserves (US$ ‘millions) is in blue.  That’s because the link is clickable.  You will see a static chart, and depending on the data a motion chart.  For the NIR, this is what you would see:
